Like it's neighbour island Koh Tao, this island was at the beginning visited by backpackers seeking a sanctuary from the more developed island of Koh Samui and today, Koh Phangan has a large chooice of daytime activities, parties, resorts and spas. Surrounded by crystal clear waters, Ko Phangan has naturally become in the last years to a divers favorite destination in South Thailand. Phangan was before a backpackers destination, by now a much more mixed range of holiday makers visits the island. One thing many of guests have in common, they want to search a nice and interesting place. One exemption could be the Fullmoon party when Had Rin Nok changes into a dancefloor. For a lot of visitors Fullmoon Party is the most interesting of the main events in Koh Phangan. In average 8.000 party-goers rush to Koh Phangan monthly if only to enjoy the Fullmoon Party.
